Poem by Lord Byron

Darkness.jpg
One of his more dark poems is Darkness. The poem is about how the sun is extinguished and the people are lighting everything on fire to get light. When i first read this poem i thought this was the most emo thing i have ever read in my life. Then when i started to think about it really means that if you take a nesesaty then people will go insane. The poem didnt really uses alot of poetic devices. One of them is onomotopiea. This is used when he talked about the trees crash. There really isnt any rhyme scheme in the poem.

Another poem that he made is an abode. The name of the poem is called "She Walks in Beauty". The poem makes me feel good and reminds me of my girlfriend. The poem is about a girl who he likes and he thinks she looks really good and he sees her walk. There is a rhyme scheme in this poem. It is ABAB. The poem has hyperbole. The way he uses this is how he explaines her and he says that she is perfict and everyone knows that it is physicly imposible to be perfict. He wrote the poem as history explains he wrote the poem for a cousin of his.

The Historical backround of this poem is that Byron wrote it to show the uselessjness of war. In the poem Byron uses a ryme scheme and symbolism. The way he uses symbolisim is he uses the poem to show how war is useless. The rhyme scheme in this poem is AABB.
